Camp update: We're getting close!

Howdy Campers,

A quick update on our progress. We have 9 days till lift-off.

We're leaving Friday morning 8/26, to drive up to Reno, where we'll get last minute supplies and stay overnight.
Early Saturday morning (7ish if we can) we'll leave Reno and drive to Burning Man, and hopefully get there

before the gate gets crowded (hence the unreasonable hour for waking up), which usually happens by 11am.
This year will be worse, though, since they are opening gates earlier than ever, and they are encouraging as much Early Arrival as possible.

Everyone helping build should plan to be on the playa by noon if you don't caravan with us from Reno.  

Almost all of the camp stuff that lives in the trailer has been packed.   A few more last minute things, but it's quite full.

We got a truck to tow that trailer, so we're good on that front.

We've got kegs ordered, new beer lines for our old tap, and a new kegerator.   We'll have the generator running all day

and night now, so we have power for it.    I just got a 120v to 12v converter, so we can run the stereo off the power

instead of batteries, as the subwoofer killed the battery pretty quick last year.

We are asking folks to bring a big bottle of (cheap) tequila (or vodka) and a mixer or two if you can.  

We got a couple of cases of pure lemon juice for the lemon vodka drinks, and one of lime for tequila drinks.

That's about all I can think of right now.   Of course, both of our jobs have been crazy during the last couple of weeks, 

so since we haven't lost our minds yet, we're in good shape!

A few other things while I'm thinking about it.  If you could bring some extra gallons of water for the bar drinks that would be great.  We have lemon/lime concentrate and sugar, just need H20.  Also, please remember to bring work gloves for set up/tear down.  We are unusually organized but both CO and I are crazy busy at work, hence the low communication.  

There is also a camp shower set up if anyone wants to use it.  We have pumps and trays and an enclosure, so you'd just need to use your own water.
