One to two hour shifts will be a fun way to meet people and involve
them in our madness. We can sign up for these as the event
approaches. Yikes, did we say ten days?

WORK PARTY SCHEDULE
Next meeting is Thursday (tomorrow) at 5 at Stitch's house. (Consider
showing your love for the use of such a great space by attending the
house-warming party he's throwing on Friday. Thanks Stitch and new
roomies!)
If we can break into hole committees at this meeting and set up a work
schedule that fits two or three people's availability, that would
probably be a good idea since we only have a little over a week to get
all of this done. :)

So please add to this materials list or chime in & share your ideas!

Yes! We need all the tools and hardware we can find. Twitch and I are
going to go pick up some more plywood tomorrow, and possibly stop by a
hardware store. Can anyone think of specific pieces needed?

Also, I think one of those A-frame sandwich-board style caution
markers would make a good camp sign. Especially one with a blinking
light. Not that I'd ever advocate anyone abducting one, mind you. Just
sayin'...

The roof of the van makes good sandwich boards and one can stay up
during play.
Tools include skill saw, metal grinder/cutter, jigsaw, drills/bits,
chop saw, belt sander, and chewing gum.
Kenny has informed me of a platform that could be useful, i can scoop
it before the jaunt up.
CAUTION!

drunken sketches of the golf layout as spilled upon by chases home
brew. strictly open ended rough ideas. I;ve emailed them to all who I
have email addresses.

Hole # 0) The glory Hole- sneak preview as to why caution should be
abided by when accomponied by children

#1) Lunar Hole; ramp leads to crater for hole- dish with circular
ramp on perimeter. Masonite painted moonlike or other material laid
down on the grass between the side rails lining the coarse would be
great, but may be a bit much. possible other craters for obsticles.
eh? glow moon ball (wouldn't ever never ever ever get
lost............) get other balls that can be painted

2.) the CarnivHole; bad pun. sharing guide walls with Lunar hole. One
putts their way to the ski ball ramp. Higher point holes lead to down
spouts with better leaves to the green, or like illustration; better
leave for a ramp shooting over the lunar coarse onto the green.

3.) Golf Shoes; set up crossing multiple coarses to ensure Satety
Third

4.) Thinking of scratching Courtey hole because my idea sucked and was
nothing beyond a pun and a doll leg club that will prevail
nonetheless.

5.) Challenging traffic; Bowling balls and sledge hammers. Pins set up
in order, zig-zagged from each other as a sequence to indivually aim
for . madness.

6.) Watering Hole. Wiffle over van into roullete wheel. TETNIS
SHOT!!!

7.) post tetnis shot pressure shot on top the van. Neat circular tube
and things lead to grand finalleeeee

Thanks Kenny for sketching out some more comprehensive ideas as far as the hole lineup, and thank you Chase for inviting the work-party to enjoy an after-party sampling your delicious homebrew creation!  Also, I'm attaching the sketches that accompany Kenny's idea. It's good to see an outline of how this might look when laid out. I'm getting stoked to see how it all turns out!

Good progress was made at the last meeting: a ski ball ramp was constructed, the roulette wheel was started, more ideas were discussed, and Chase brought some great ramps that he made!

***NEXT MEETING*** Thursday, 5pm- same bat time, same bat channel.
Thursday seems to be the only evening that works for all, but that leaves us only ONE more meeting before Soak! We have a lot more work than that to do, so we'll need to break down to smaller groups, and claim homework assignments if necessary. *PLEASE POST YOUR SCHEDULE* so we can figure out who's available which days, and organize some smaller gatherings. Twitch has generously offered the use of his home for workspace any time that we're available until the event.

One other matter that we need to arrange is transportation of all these wonderful creations to and from the event. We need to figure out how many of us have cargo space available, and how much. Also which days people are arriving on. Just another reason that it is important that we all make it to Thursday's meeting!

Homework assignments already claimed include Chase's trip to the Rebuilding Center today, and Jadene and I will hit up the Bins tomorrow. Please, everyone keep a look out for:
*More Balls
*Lawn Gnomes
*Caution Tape/Other Cautionary Equipment
*Things We Can Use As Fencing Around Our Camp (to somewhat contain the balls)

Also, we should arrange some reward system and post signs for people returning stray balls to the camp :)

Soak is now less than 2 WEEKS AWAY! We need to make as much progress as humanly possible between now and then to pull this off. I know we can do it, so let's get organized and GO TEAM!!!

We can cram the van and strap small gibber to the top. I will be heading early as can be to the event.
What about an after SOAK work party after the official meeting on MONDAY?
I can be there, if anyone else can, lets do it.
Also I have a wall of signs that should be displayed, I will see what big wood is available.
I found some sticks that will be good to staple signs to and stick in the ground. They are a bit low but will do the job for somethings.

Enjoy!

Hells yes! This is exactly what we need! ***Next Official Soak Meeting: Monday, 7:00 @ PDX Bridge Fest Space (4th floor Eastbank Lofts; 537 SE Ash St)*** I'm completely down for a meetup afterwards. And any other times we might have. To follow the example requested; my availability is any time between now and Soak, excepting this coming Weds, when the final D'Corps meeting is happening. Because of D'Corps affiliation, Twitch and myself will be arriving a day early, on Wednesday, so will be able to deliver whatever we can carry ahead of time. Hit me up if you have free time and want to work on some building projects!

And I highly recommend that we attend this upcoming Soak meeting; it's our opportunity to ask questions and be heard!
