High Memory usage

If I load a project using a workpiece consistent with my GCode file file (using automatic) the Progress bar gets part way across and gets stuck. In the meantime memory is being gobbled up continuously and the PC becomes unresponsive.

The file in question is a modest 198k and functions fine on a real machine.

If I use a workpiece as initialised by loading the application, ie the one with CAMotics logo, such I the workpiece isn't being carved by my '.nc' file, the progress bar whistles across and there is no hang by the PC.
