Why can't user create tool list?

IMHO, the project settings are very clumsy way to do simulation where the need is to input a tool info dia/shape etc. Then after doing all that, the program either won't accept new/edited tool info or by it self change the tool # ! Why not have the option to set the tool database library where all the tool info is keep t and camotic use it to simulate the gcode?  This  is frustrating!

A global tool table is a feature I plan to add.  See issue #54.

I imagine the problem is that the GCode you are using specifies tool numbers that don't match your machine's tool table.  When CAMotics reads the GCode it automatically creates tools for any tool numbers that are specified in the GCode but not in your tool table.  If you change the tool number in CAMotics it will just recreate the missing tools the next time it reads the GCode.  What you really need is a tool mapping which maps the tool numbers in your GCode file to the tool numbers on your machine.  You can edit the GCode and change all the tool numbers to match your machine.  When issue #54 is implemented, CAMotics will allow you to map the tool numbers in the GCode to tool numbers in your global tool table.

As a side note, since I started this project in 2011 I've received a total of $985 in donations.  I've put in 100s of hours of work on this project and I've not gotten much in return.  I know that you donated $10 in 2014 and I appreciate the support but please keep in mind that I'm only able to work on this part-time because I have to do other work to pay the bills.  I would love to focus more on this project but until I have the money to pay for it I will only be able to develop this software in my limited spare time.
