Caption Font Size and Bar Size?

I've been trying to make the caption bar smaller with the font size and I haven't seem to be able to affect it. I've tried changing the 'camera_caption' style but no luck.

On a Mobile the bar with the caption it too high to even see the photo.

Did you/anyone else find any solution to this issue. I am also looking for a way to reduce the caption bar size.
