Change order of slides on hp

I can't find how to change or control the order of the slides on the home page.  I've tried  changing the date of the slide posts but thaht had no affect.  How do you control the order?

What do you mean by that? If you would like to change the order of slides you just drag and drop the slide from bottom to top or the other way around, just drag and drop the slide wherever you want it positioned, hopefully this will solve your problem.

I'm not using a short code.  The theme I'm using is pulling slide order from the slide posts that I create and embedding on the home page.  It's hard to explain.   I have no success in finding how to modify the order of the slides.
