Good day Maurice and all,

Forgive if this has been already mentioned previously somewhere but due to the multiple outdoor use cases, it will be worthwhile to have a box protected from moisture (forgive my English, I ‘m not saying waterproof to 1 meter deep, I want to say to protect against the humidity due to the rain or the watering of the garden .. etc ..). Am sure most of photographers waiting hours with their camera + other gears outside to capture a wild animal, understand what I mean ;)

PS: Sorry Maurice, you may have receive this email twice due to a wrong usage of the Google groups.

Thank you, yves

The easiest solution here is to use a plastic bag around the CA6.  Then where the cables come out just use a rubber band around the cords at that point.  The reason I can't make the box or modules actually water resistant is because that adds a lot of cost, especially with all the plugs these things have.

I'm sure that some people will take those water proof boxes and do some kind of solutions with those, but that is expensive and time consuming and there is still an issue with the cables to make so I'm not planning to offer an option like that at this time.  I'm hopeful some people will share pictures when they do this.

I personally have used the plastic bag approach several times for outside bird photography.  Inside when doing things like projectiles I usually just put the sensor behind a shield so it can't get splattered.  I know this solution isn't pretty, but it is functional and that is what the CA6 excels at.
