Hi Maurice,

Its been awhile, but finally with this Covid home isolation and finishing older projects and getting organized. Can't go out and shoot more back-log, too.

When I first got the components, I wasn't sure which board was the one to use for sensing lightning. I didn't recognize any of them as similiar to Dan's improved sensor...I believe there was a little baggy that had light-diode sensors, but wasn't sure which went with what board.

What do I need to do to get it up and going? Asking because it could be really close, a bit of work or of course a lot of work to load etc. Thanks for pointers.

Also, I'm assuming the software was loaded already, is that correct?

Hope all is well,

Paul

The the different components and BOM information that I have is available at https://github.com/mribble/CameraAxe6

To do light measurements you'll need the light module and you probably have to wire the light diode to it.  I can't remember exactly what parts I had on hand and sent out to everyone since it was a long time ago.

I'm pretty sure I would have loaded the latest software onto the boards before I sent them but I can't remember with 100% certainty.  I actually sent out all the prototypes I had so I no longer have any left to do testing here.

Hope this helps.

Hi Maurice,

I'm totally lost

I had looked at the wiki and the Light BOM. Not sure what part is the actual light sensing component, is it the mosfet? I expected a diode.

I saw this

also looking at the board I don't see where it would go, probably a completely different approach and I'm not exposed to the new technology

Is it Q1 code on the silkprint?

I looked at the detector is under the mechanical section because it moves in the sliding tube system.  https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Vishay/TEPT4400/?qs=%2Fha2pyFaduhBYf4sf23Kog8%2FWCx3apnDrcdWS%2F77kp8%3D

Yes it connects to Q1.
