Walk to School Day

Friday, May 23 is Walk to School day at Clemson Elementary School.  If you would like to walk along, please meet in the park at 7:20am.  The walk to school happens on all bike paths (no streets). Close to the school, when we cross the bridge on Berkeley Road, the Clemson Police will be closing one lane of the road so that pedestrians can walk across safely.  Car traffic will alternate on the other lane. Parents walking along are encouraged to keep all children off the lane for cars on the bridge.  Consider bringing your bike along so that we can bike home together. (Students who bike can park their bikes in the bike rack at the back of the school (by the amphitheater).  Car drivers are encouraged to avoid Berkeley road between 7:25am and 8am on Friday.

The Clemson Tiger will be our special guest on Friday. Don't miss a chance to get a high five and/or a picture with him.  He will be located at the school entrance at the back of the school.

If you don't want to walk all the way to CES, you can park at Lowe's (there's a walking path across the street), in Country Walk (pool parking lot near entrance), or Villiage Walk (undeveloped section.  For more information on walk to school day see: http://www.biketoworkinfo.org.  The website shows a map of parking area and has pictures of past walk to school days.  Below is a picture of the group that walked from Camelot in the fall of 2013.
