In 2014, eight Camelot "addresses" (i.e. singles and families) got together and learned (among other things):
-how to feel warmer in winter without turning the heat up
-how to get the rebates from local utilities
-how to save money on electricity and have your clothes last longer
-where to get locally grown lettuce, bread, meat...
-where the local walking/bike paths and bus routes are
We also got to see neighbor' electric car, rain barrel, solar tube, recycled carpet, window quilt, etc. We enjoyed together a picnic of local foods, a plant give away, and thermal images of our homes.
We'd like to start a new Green Camelot group with a new group of neighbors in late October. We'll meet 70 minutes once a month for 7 months. Those who are willing can also host the group in their homes. Once we have 8 new "addresses", we'll choose the meeting dates and times that suits everyone. Contact Eunice Lehmacher 654-4712 or
euni...@gmail.com if you have questions or want to join. Here's what participants of the 1st Green Camelot group said they liked it:
