Hi everyone. Im experiencing some problems starting Camelot in my New Mac.

When I first tried to run it it worked just nice. When I tried to reset some settings did not work. I made the settings to be exactly as they were before but did not work.

Even creating a new dataset to start from scratch and default settings, is not working.

Is there a way I can make it work?? Can I reset to start to make from scracth? Thanks in advance. Please find here a screenshot of what I see and the logfile.

Can anyone give me a hand? Thank you!

Hi Antonio,

The logs seem to suggest things were going along okay one moment, and
the next there is some evidence of database corruption.

> 15:52:37.121 [qtp302906055-54] INFO camelot.system.http.log - :get /heartbeat for 127.0.0.1 | Status: 200 (208 ms)
> 15:52:39.403 [qtp302906055-53] INFO camelot.system.http.log - :get /heartbeat for 127.0.0.1 | Status: 500 (260 ms)
> 15:52:39.411 [qtp302906055-53] ERROR camelot.system.http.log - Uncaught exception processing request:
> Java exception: 'Cannot invoke "org.apache.derby.iapi.services.cache.CacheManager.find(Object)" because "this.containerCache" is null: java.lang.NullPointerException'.

Do you have a backup of the database that you could restore?

If this is not an option, could you send me the database for further
investigation? You may compress the "Database" folder (i.e., put in in
a .zip archive), upload it and share with me the link.

As a preventative measure: is this database stored on an external
harddrive? Such sudden corruption may be consistent with Camelot losing
connection to the database mid-operation, which would be more typical of
USB drive or network storage.

Regards,

HI Chris, thank you for your observations.

Yes, I used to perate with Macbook air, so I considered healthy to keep everything in an external hard drive.

The issue was solved by itself. I wanted to start from scratch. I lost previous surveys, but that is ok.

The problem was that first connection behave not lounching the inerface. The second time I did it the app accepted me triggering the “default settings”. Then I redirected again the Database to external hard drive and it seems to work just fine now.

The only thing is that previous surveys are displayed, but no media linked to it, which is strange because the settings are exactly the same.

Thank you very much Chris!
