We just deployed some new solar cameras and I was trying to upload the photos to Camelot but I keep getting the error that the timestamp is outside the session dates. Both the date modified and the timestamp on the photos are definitely within the session dates listed so I'm not sure what is the issue. I havent had this issue with any of the other cameras I am using - has anyone dealt with this or have any suggestions on how to fix this issue??

Hi Samantha,

We have encountered a scenario in the past where a particular model of
cameras either incorrectly set or did not set image metadata.

Could you please put one or two of these images into a .zip archive and
send them through so I might investigate further? (Placing these in a
.zip archive protects the original image from modification by Google's
services.)

Thanks,

Hey Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me out with a little Camelot report frustration I've got going on. I've been using Camelot for a couple of years now, managing a good number of surveys. But I recently started a new one in a totally different area with different species than I usually deal with.

The issue I'm having is, after I've gone through and identified and classified all the images from this new study, I can't seem to generate a report for just the species count and presence from this one. Instead, I keep getting reports that have all the species I've ever identified in Camelot, from all my other surveys and sites. It's really cluttered and hard to deal with.

Does anyone have any pointers on how I can get a report on species count or presence for just one survey or site?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi Samantha,

Looking into the metadata on these images, there are two sets of dates:

DateTime: 2012:01:01 01:01:01
DateTimeOriginal: 2023:05:18 09:13:04

The first is clearly wrong, but it is also the timestamp Camelot will
use by default.

For the images already captured, you will need to update the image's
"date/time" tag to reflect the "date/time original" tag, or
alternatively delete all values for the "date/time" tag (Camelot will
use "date/time original" as a fallback).

I believe something like https://geosetter.de/en/main-en/ will help you
in this.

To solve this going forward, I'd also recommend reporting the problem to
the manufacturer. They should be able to fix this in later firmware
versions.

Hope this helps,

Hi, could you please provide the name of the report(s) that are closest to what you're looking to achieve, except cover too many surveys?

I will aim to get an equivalent survey back to you where the survey can be chosen.
