Capture.JPGCapture1.JPGHi,

I have been using Camelot since 2018 without much trouble, however recently there seems to be an error with Camelot being able to read the .jar file needed to launch the system. To start the programme I always have to go into the Camelot file and manually start java as it does not start up on its own. Within the last 2 weeks, however, I am receiving the error "ERROR: Could not find a camelot jar file in the installation location" The installation location has not changed, I have downloaded the most recent jdk application (Windows x64 operating system), and it appears that the .jar file is running when viewed through the task manager. I cannot figure out why Camelot is not recognising the file anymore.

Any hints, tips, or advice on this would be much appreciated.

Hi Selati,
My suggestion is to do an upgrade. It’s hard for us to support the older versions.

Make sure you back everything up including your database before doing an upgrade.

You can find your database files on Windows here:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\camelot

Unless you have moved them somewhere else.

Here are the upgrade instructions

.

Hi Heidi

Thanks so much for the reply.
Managed to sort the Jar file issue with an upgrade.
Upgraded to the latest version and with a clean database it starts straight away and all looks good.
Once I copy the database directory in it just says starting and it's been like that for a few days now.
In the system logs the last entry I get the attached

It seems to create more files in the seg0 folder but nothing else seems to be happening.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated
Thanks

Hi Eben,
Could you share all the logs not just that one?

You may also want to try increasing your JAVA heap size

Hi Heidi and to anyone else with this problem

Eventually my team solved it yesterday by flushing the redo logs.
After this the application booted up straight away
Thanks for all the help
Eben
