I installed camelbox on WinXP Pro about three months ago. I am trying to
install some additional modules and update CPAN now, but am having
multiple problems. From the error messages I see, it appears that the
issue is that I installed it on drive D, but all of the scripts expect
it to be on C. Where can I get help debugging this issue or where should
I report the bug?

Camelbox isn't currently built to run on any other drive besides C:.
I'm curious about how you "installed it on drive D", since there isn't
an option in the installer to change the install location,

If you have to use Perl on another drive besides C:, I recommend
Strawberry Perl, as they have a relocateable Perl installer. You'd
have to build Gtk2-Perl and friends yourself of course.

Does that answer your question?

Thanks,

Brian

It confirms my diagnosis. I don't recall how I managed to install it on
D, but the result was actually a split, where some files are in
C:\camelbox and others are in D:\camelbox. That was actually my first
clue that this was the issue. I'll most likely uninstall and do it over.
The problem is that C is managed by IT and no files on it are ever
backed up. When there is a drive failure, they simply replace it and
reimage from the master. I am supposed to install my toys on D.

brian d. foy talks about backing up a set of CPAN modules via the
'autobundle' command.

http://ddj.com/184404624

autobundle creates a .pm file that contains all of the modules
currently installed underneath whatever Perl executable you are using.
This may be one way you can back up what you can install on top of
Camelbox.

Thanks,

Brian
