Hi
in the article entitled "I don't have PPM, how can I install a
package?" in http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=260683
i have applied the instructions to install many ppm packages from here
http://www.bribes.org/perl/ppm/ , or from activestate
http://ppm.activestate.com/PPMPackages/zips/
suppose you want to install Win32-MediaPlayer ;
1- be sure you have ExtUtils
2- download the Win32-MediaPlayer-0.3-PPM510.tar.gz and Win32-
MediaPlayer.ppd
3- unzip Win32-MediaPlayer-0.3-PPM510.tar.gz so you have blib folder
available.
4- perl -MExtUtils::Install -e install_default Win32-MediaPlayer

and you will have a working module, only the html docs will not be
generated from the pod files.
