My 25 YO daughter has expressed some interest in getting a road bike.  She is fairly tall, 5'10", but is all legs and a relatively short torso.  No real experience on road bikes, so TT length and reach need to be a bit on the short side.  Ridden a few at some shops, so I'm thinking that 55-56 cm is about right.  A bit larger or smaller might work or could be adapted.  She is certainly thinking on the inexpensive side pricewise.  A steel frame seems likely, though other materials could work.

If you have something collecting dust in the back of the garage, let us know.

Thanks,

Hello Richard,

I have an ancient Cadex-1 (An early carbon frame) that I have been long-term loaning out to people who are wanting to get into road biking to see if they like it. It would be the right size. Give me a call if you are interested. 975.5474. The bike does have sentimental value so I would like it back eventually. It was given to me, so I try to pass the bike love on.
