Here are your announcements for this Sunday, 7/20/08.

The scripture is Matthew 5: 1-12

The sermon title is: "In the world, but not of the world"

 

Call to Worship:

Pastor:    Let us come together all who would serve the God of Abraham and Moses.

People:   And by what name did Abraham or Moses serve?

Pastor:    The Great I AM, the Almighty God, Creator of all the Universe!

People:   And are we, who are so small, known by the Creator of the Universe?

Pastor:    Hear the word Christ came to bring:  God knows us and loves us each one.

All:         Blessed by the name of the Lord.

 

Prayer of Confession:

Lord, so often as we toil at the tasks of daily life we tend to forget You are indeed the Creator of the Universe.  So often as we seek to understand the world around us we tend to make You, like us, a part of the world instead of the Creator.  Forgive us, Lord, and help us to have the courage when we hear Your call not to think so small. In Christ we pray.

 

The Session will not meet this month.

 

We will not have a Fellowship Meal this month due to the construction.  We hope to resume our Fellowship Meals next month.
