A night out in Moth Vegas on July 14!

I know it is early for this, but I'd like to propose that we go for

✨A NIGHT OUT IN MOTH VEGAS!✨🪩

Now, you might be thinking…

🌑 "Amine, what on earth is Moth Vegas?"

Moth Vegas (more commonly known as light sheeting) is when you hang up a white bedsheet outdoors and hang some bright lights 💡in front of it at night. All sorts of light-attracted insects 🦟🪲🦋 will flock over to look at it and hang out on the sheet, and you can hang out with them!

🌑When is Moth Vegas?

During the new moon on July 14th, probably heading out around 7pm.

The best time to go to Moth Vegas (to be explained at next month's talk on May 12th) is during the new moon.

🌑Where is Moth Vegas?

💫 Moth Vegas is a portable experience but ideally experienced in a grassy area with minimal light pollution! 💫

We would likely need to carpool for about 30-60 mins to get somewhere less light-polluted. I can find an appropriate nature area, but it would also be great if a CEC member with a backyard a bit out of Boston is willing to host us there for a few hours.

I would love if members commented to indicate that they are interested in an event like this!
