Hi all,

Ben Thompson and I are going to the Wapack trail on Saturday. Would anyone like to come? We'll leave Cambridge around 7:15. I'll probably do about 18 miles (Windblown to Watatic and back) in about five hours; we can run together or separately depending on what people feel like.

We'll be able to take at least three people in a rental car. If you want to come let me know where you live and we can give you a ride.

Happy running,
Liz

Hey Liz,

I'm not available Saturday morning, but I did run the same section of Wapack last weekend from Rt 119/Watatic to Windblown and back, then a few more miles on the Midstate Trail. Here's some useful info.

- There are wild blueberries everywhere. You might find some raspberries if any have grown since I ate them all.
- There are a bunch of sections where the trail is overgrown with grass, ferns and some poison ivy.
- Mosquitos, flies, etc. were plentiful.
- Prospects for water refill are grim. The one place might be the spring just off the trail (I think) about halfway near Binney Pond. There's a carved wood sign pointing to it. I would not drink from the spring without treatment or filtering.

Have fun!

Tim
