Though this list has gone dormant, I figure there may still be people who are interested in upcoming trail runs and races. My friend is organizing this one. He sent a follow up email clarifying that the distance is actually only 41 miles. Not sure where the 60 miles estimate originated...

You are being invited to the first EVER Taconic Trails 100k Run. The run will start around 5AM on April 22, 2017 in Northeast NY & end in the same location prior to Civic Dusk on the same day.

What: The 60+/- mile course traverses two most prominent ridges in the CT-MA-NY border area in a loop never possible before a South Taconic Trail completion last summer! It is composed of primarily single track, some ATV roads & only 9.5 miles of road between two sections.

This run is FREE, friendly & non-competitive(but you are free to run as you want). We'll be traversing a section of the AT which has a 10 person group limit & other activity restrictions so I cannot invite more friends than that!

Food is "Assigned Potluck" with support with local vendors being negotiated. There will be 6 staffed checkpoints; 2-3 Drops & up to 4 food aids. There will be a an after-run Potluck with a fire and showers.
