Cambodian Premier Hun Sen Heads For China
Phnom Penh, October 21, 2008 AKP --
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen accompanied by his wife and other senior government officials left here Monday to the People’s Republic of China.
During his stay in China, Premier Techo Hun Sen will attend the 5th ASEAN-China Expo in Nanning on Oct. 22 and the 7th Asia-Europe Meeting in Beijing on Oct. 24.
Samdech Hun Sen will open today the National Expo of 122 stands from Cambodia’s 60 companies, including agricultural, agricultural-industrial products, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, furniture, souvenirs, sculptures, silks, etc. which are exhibited together with more than 3,000 stands of foreign goods from 2,100 companies, H.E. Sry Thamrong, delegate minister of Premier Hun Sen told reporters at Phnom Penh International Airport.
This is the first time that the Asia-Europe Meeting to be attended by 45 countries and the forum will be focusing on the joint resolution to the international financial crisis, the natural disasters prevention, food security, Asia-Europe trade relations and more free markets’ opening, and embargo reduction. The forum is also aiming at further strengthening and consolidation of the relationship over political, economic and cultural fields.
