Draft Statement for the Cambodia Women Forum

Dear all Cambodia Women Caucus

 

 

Thank you very much to your inputs to the meeting on 05 November 2012 and inputs to the draft statement for the Cambodia Women Forum which upgraded through the results from the Provincials Women Forum. They will present to the Cambodia Women Forum on 13^th November 2012 for getting final comments and inputs.

 

Please kindly review and comments whether this statement responded to current priority issues of Cambodia Women related to ASEAN Development.

 

Your inputs and comments is  building women solidarity and contributing to protect and promote women rights!

Dearest bong Rany and Women's Caucus,

Thank you so much for this info. Actually i could see the statement is fulfilled by our discussion.

In the statement i did not see the Short term contract which is very important for workers. Short term (3 months) contract has been applied mostly in garment factory. And this contract keep women in very high risk of lossing their jobs.

However, i wish to raise issues if the AHRD is approved this year. If in the statement we can suggest to the ASEAN govt to delay the decision making for approval of this AHRD or if the AHRD can be reviewed every years which include NGOs or CSO to involve.
