Nominate civil society speakers and attendees

for the UN President of the General Assembly's 
High-level Thematic Debate on 
"Achieving gender equality and empowerment of women and girls 
for a transformative post-2015 development agenda"

Dear Colleagues,

 

At the request of the Office of the President of the General Assembly (OPGA), UN-NGLS is conducting an open nomination process for 3 civil society speaking roles in the President's High-level Thematic Debate on "Achieving gender equality and empowerment of women and girls for a transformative post-2015 development agenda." This event will take place on 6 March 2015 at UN Headquarters in New York. Travel funding will be provided for the 3 civil society speakers that are selected. The concept note for the Thematic Debate is available here.

  

Timeline for participation

 

Friday, 30 January: 
Deadline for applications to participate in the civil society Selection Committee

Tuesday, 3 February: 
Deadline for submission of civil society speaker nominations

Monday, 9 February, 8:00-10:00am EST: Selection Committee conference call #1
Tuesday, 10 February, 8:00-10:00am EST: Selection Committee conference call #2
