Looking for Host Family

Dear All 

I’m currently organizing a student exchange program to our country. This e-mail is to share this exchange program and ask if you would like to be part of it.

 

Goshen University is a university from United States, in Indiana, a couple hours away from Chicago. Since 1968, Goshen University has had an international study-abroad program in which all students are required to study in another country. Faculty from campus travel to other countries and set up programs similar to the one we’ve set up here in Cambodia.

 

We are now looking for 19 host family to host our students for six week starting from Jauanary 2013. They are here to learn about typical lifestly of Cambodia which mean that they are expected to be part of your family. Our students will do some study at RUPP during the day and other than that they are your son and daughter so you can make use of them for some housework like cleaning, washing, or coooking.

 

During this six week, each family will receive some small amount of money to cover some cost of their meal, accommodation, and others. This is not much but at least to make sure that our students won’t be an extra burden to your family.

 

Please let me know if you want to be their host or if you have any further question. I’m sure, it would also benefits to your son and daughter at least in speaing English on a daily basis.

2. Trasportation

3. The programe of student in Cambodia.

Dear bong Puthy 

1. the exact date of the arrival of the students will be informed later but for now, I just know that it is starting from January 2013. I will be able to inform bong the exact date soon. 

2. Transportation. On a daily basis, the students will have their own bike to travel from home to RUPP and nearby. Other than that, it is up to the host family if you want to bring them around or something.

3. We are finalizing the programs and hopefully I can send bong the full program soon. The brief program would be: Six Weeks in Phnom Penh with host family and study at RUPP, and after that they will travel to intern with NGO in the province. The host family will only take care of them for the first six weeks.
