I saw that. Doesn't look too much like cyclocross, but still a very cool idea for a race. I can't make it this evening. Jordan, you should sign up to race.

Ok let's just do the original plan. We can do TSF some other time.

I'd love too but I can't tomorrow. If you guys want to go ahead and go
don't worry about bailing. I can ride solo or Todd can join so it's no
big deal. Do you think the trail will be clear out there. Stef and I went
to the beach last weekend and there was a lot of blow downs on the side
 of the road.

I do wanna hit that ride though. Being Mr Super Anal Man that I am I do
an annual calendar early in the year for vacations, travel, camping and
things. Like I said, anal. I know, you're asking why do I think you might
care......well this year I blocked out longer Saturday MTB rides every
couple of weeks. For me, it's way easier to get a full day trip if it's
on our calendar. When I have an idea, I'll throw it out there to you
guys. I almost always ride Saturday mornings but it's usually 9:00 - noon
 time frame.

By the way, commute this morning, seriously windy crossing the 205 but
once I headed West I felt like I had a little motor on the back.
Unfortunately, I have to ride back home.

I'd love to take it to the TSF, but I need to be back home in the
vicinity of noon, which might be hard to pull off. Early is fine with me
though, if anyone wants to move the rendezvous time forward. Where in TSF
 do you normally ride?

If everyone doesn't like this, we can go back to the original plan.

 Thoughts?

I am tentatively in. The good news is that I picked up the new ride last
night and just need to spin some pedals on...I haven't ridden it yet, so
the comments on "fairly fit" and "technical climbing" have me a little
nervous. I feel WAY out of shape and haven't ridden a mountain bike in
years. I'm ready to jump in though!

The bad news is that my brother-in-law had what they think was a stroke
on Saturday night and he finally got out of the hospital today. It was
pretty severe and VERY scary on Saturday and Saturday night. He's only 30
and in very good shape...it seemed to come out of the blue. Sunday
morning he woke up and was fresh as could be. He was eating eggs and
making jokes when I talked to him. Three CAT scans, an MRI, and a
stroke-specialist team and nobody can tell what happened to him or why
because he tests perfectly healthy. Very strange stuff, but very happy
he's OK. We might need to run out to Newberg and help him and my sister
with some stuff this weekend. If that falls on Saturday, the biking gets
 preempted...

I'll have a firm answer in a day or two...

The weather's looking good for Saturday's Lacamas woods ride. Roll out
 time is 9:00. Who's in?

We can start from just about anywhere in Camas. The shop, the 3rd street
parking lot in Camas or my house (3745 NW 17th ave, Camas, WA 98607) near
Ed's house up on Prune Hill. Doesn't matter to me but if we ride from my
place you get to finish with a post ride beer. It'll be close enough to
lunch time. I have a fresh case of the Sam Adams winter pack.

If we ride from my house we start with a climb and ride pavement for
about a mile and a half then drop into the park from the top. You guys
decide and feel free to invite others, just make sure they're fairly fit
and can handle a bit of technical climbing.

I rode in there Saturday morning and had to spend a bunch of time
clearing the way. I ended up going back later in the afternoon for a few
hours to get it all finished up. I heard Cold Creek, Siouxon and 3CR are
all blocked up with lay downs and have snow in spots.  Heading home so
I'll reply tomorrow. Have a good night guys.
