bumpy treads.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ride Type - Cyclocross (see Description below)
Date - Wednesday, August 31st, 2011
Time - Ride rolls out at 4:05 sharp! Yes 4:05. Not 4:02 or 4:07 & you
ask David why on Wednesday.
Leave from - Saint Honore Bakery, 2335 Northwest Thurman Street,
Portland, OR
Route - Forest Park
Duration - approx. 1.5 hours (seat time)
Pace - Medium - Medium Fast
Description - David is going to be the trail guide on this one as I
have only lived in the area for 15 years and have never actually
ventured into Forest Park. This ride is intended to be a medium fast
paced training route with a few good climbs and will be geared towards
Cyclocross bikes. Ride surfaces will be a mix of gravel, dirt and
paved roads or trails.

The hopes are that we can build a group and hit a variety of spots
around Portland / Vancouver.
Initial plan is to try and hit Lacamas, Powell Butte, Forest Park,
Gateway and we're open for others.
For the Camas area rides I'll volunteer as the guide as it's my home
territory.
For rides in other areas, I'll be looking for others to step up and
lead the way otherwise we'll stay local.
My intentions are to set these up as fairly hard, faster paced
Cyclocross training rides.
The "Pace" description is relative to my pace as a CAT 2. Fast for
some, slow for others!
Faster riders can always charge the hills and double-back, then
regroup at the top of the climbs.
For now, as the group is small, if you plan on joining us, please let
me know if your coming.
RSVP by email to
sean.v...@daimler.com or
CHSMT...@hotmail.com.
If you don't RSVP, I assume your not coming and we may ride earlier or
elsewhere.
Start times are actual roll out times so please be ready to go 5
minutes before.
General rule is if you're early, you're on time, if you're on time,
you're late and
if you're late, you get left behind! I hate waiting so enough said on
that issue.
Helmets required...............Really, do I actually have to say
that!
Feel free to pass this on to those you may know who race might be
interested.
If you don't want to receive these emails please let me know and I'll
remove you from my list.
Thanks - Sean Vergillo
