Anybody know where real J Cloths can be purchased in Cambridge?

Tesco and Robert Sayle only sell their own pale imitations, which are
not the same at all.

Do they still sell proper buckets, or only pail imitations?

"It used to be that what a writer did was type a bit and then stare out of the
window a bit, type a bit, stare out of the window a bit. Networked computers
make these two activities converge, because now the thing you type on and the
window you stare out of are the same thing" - Douglas Adams 28/1/99.

It was that school-girl at no. 10. I told her to go easy, but she
insisted on.....

[Think I'll stop there before I dig myself a hole].

Robert Sayle used to sell them but, as you say, no more...

I would have thought your best bet would be an old-fashioned
housewares store. I'm thinking of the place next to the Cricketers/Elm
Tree pubs... I have no idea for sure that they sell J-Cloths but I
think there's a very good chance that they would. And if not, you can
always marvel at the permanent display of toilet rolls in the window.

I have a vague recollection of seeing them in Sainsbury's Coldhams
Lane (but maybe not). Can any regular Sainsbury's shopper confirm or
deny this sighting?

Although they stock some amazing things I doubt John Cook's sell J-Cloths.

Mind you I would like to know where to find some myself. Not sold at
Tesco's for sure.

Has anyone found any evidence that they are still made?

They seem to be made by a company called PGI Polymer Group. There's a
website http://www.chifonet.com/ and another at http://www.hpc-europe.com.

Hey I've just seen some in the forecourt shop at Cambridge services just
past Bar Hill. They only had a pack of five in plain plastic wrappers not
the classic hexagonal cardboard box unfortunately. Do you want me to pick
some up for you?

Thanks for everyone who made suggestions. I have now found them at
Mackays, the hardware store in East Road (my favourite Cambridge shop,
but then I am a hardware junky).

In packs of 50, for £9.26. That should last some time.

Come to Canada. Every store sells them. In fact you can't get away from them. They seem to stock you at every turn.
