I'm looking for a music reahearsal room in Cambridge that comes with a
rock drum kit. I already know about the Lock Up. Are there any
others?

(BTW, I have no reason to denigrate the Lock Up: I've used it before
and it's good. I just want to know all the alternatives.)

Cheers,

Lock up is OK and relatively cheap.
Rehearsal spaces are never in great locations but the Lock up suffers
more than most. I like Matt and he has been invaluable for the Cambridge
music scene.

Good space - Cannot remember if they have a kit they can hire.
Slightly more expensive than the Lock up - but I prefer the ambience.

Not used them s they opened after my last band split.
Must get a new band together sometime.

Yikes! Miles out.

Best location so far, but based on the web site they seem to be all
about the PA hire and sound engineering, with the rehearsal hire an
afterthought.

Thanks for the tips, I'll check them out.

It's not that far, if you're driving, which people taking amps and
guitars to rehearsal generally are.

It's nicer than the lockup.

I think that's website inertia. He started off doing just live sound,
and the studio and rehearsal rooms came along about two years ago.

Try asking in wereallneighbours.co.uk - lots of active musos on there.

We use them ~weekly. They have 5 rooms of varying sizes and also do
drum hire. Not that cheap though (£12 per hour for the room including
PA. Drums extra).

Second for Mulletboy. We are there every week, good quality, friendly. And
yes is 12 an hour but that does actually include drums, PA, mixer etc.
