You'll find a big pile of them at the end of the Yellow Brick Road.

I've not used them myself, but I kept this from a previous recommendation:
"Take a trip out to Brickability and ask to see their brick library. They
have a large selection of new bricks (more than you will get at a reclaim
yard). Borrow samples to take home to compare. Note that the mortar colour
has a big effect. It's important to match that as well."

Is that the road that leads to Solopark at Pampisford?

Think it was a joke, (not a bad one either) :o)
(Yellow Brick Road ‹ early '70s album and song by Elton John).
I think Colin's reply might just have been as well ;-)
Errm, that was "Goodby yellow brick road" and came around 40 years after
"Follow the yellow brick road". I'll leave you to research it...

Mssrs John (and Taupin?) borrowed the idea from L Frank Baum and it's
his "Wizard of Oz" that I associate with the Yellow Brick Road.

It could be Burwell Whites that you want but if it's got other colours as
well it could be something like London Common.. Solopark are the place to
start. Be quick off the mark - we took some bricks samples away and the pile
we wanted was gone by the time we got back to them.

And a feature in the Wizard of Oz a couple of decades before then.
Are you the wicked Magwitch of the West by any chance?
I always thought that Woodhurst was the prototype for Royston Vasey.
would that be the one for /local/ people?
SCoop
It would indeed.
yeah the one I mean has a mix of yellow orange and pink and even some light
grey I think.

I coudn't find an image of those on the web but will keep looking.
Problem is I'm in Belgium right now. Next time I'm over I'll bring the
camera.
Can I help you at all?

Nah! Having driven through Upware[1] a few times avoiding traffic on the
way home, it's *much* scarier.

Still try Solopark, most of their stuff is new as far as I can
tell, once you get past the bits of country-house statuary and
the odd church interior. It's certainly not cheap there.
And they've changed all their signs from 'Reclaimed Building
Materials Yard' to 'Period Homes Supplies Centre'.
Yeah.... the Bitch is back :o)
