I am addicted to HP Fruity sauce with my toad-in-the-hole - the
standard HP Sauce just doesn't cut it, and the Crosse And Blackwell
and Tesco versions are no substitute. However, Bar Hill Tescos seem to
not even have shelf space for HP Fruity any more - haven't checked
Milton yet.

Has HP Fruity died as a result of the Heinz buyout, or are Bar Hill
Tescos just failing to stock it?

It's not available online at Tesco (though actually I think they may do
Camrbridge deliveries from Bar Hill these days). It is however
available online at Waitrose: http://tinyurl.com/ypxxcx

Though I don't know for deffinate I do know that tesco have stopped doing
arbour mist (I know I may have cheap taste but I like it hehe) I've checked
Newmaket Road, Milton and Bar Hill Asda still do it. So it's probably worth
having a look elsewhere for it.

Hope this helps

Depends on where you live. When we moved to Arbury, it was Bar Hill
for while. Now we are on the Fulbourn route. (A pity. Bar Hill had
some wonderful chocolate mousse Fulbourn one doesn't.)

When is was first produced, it was Garton's H P Sauce

They soon dropped the Gartons when someone reversed it....

Urgh, mint HP Sauce. Suppose that might count as 'fruity' though...

I have seen HP Fruity sauce today in the Co-op on the junction of
Green End Road/Milton Road.

Superb condiment! I seem to remember reading that Harold Wilson
shocked the Elysee Palace staff when he insisted on having it with a
serving of lamb chops, though I am not a political historian. Meant
sauce: maybe.
