I’ll be there all 3 days. UMA seems like a great deal. The payouts are kind of insane (30 packs for 3-0!). I am playing a sealed, draft, and 2HG.

Wow, if it's 30 packs for a 3-0 I might just scrap all of my other plans for the weekend and drive down to Philly to grind drafts :)

30 tickets where tickets are roughly equivalent to $1 seems like it would be more reasonable.

I might just go so that I can get a foil, desktop sized playmat of Liliana. I don't have many playmats because I don't get them all the time for winning Game Day championships like Evan.

Ahh... it's 1 ticket = 1 booster of Guilds and the entry fee is $80. The packs are retail for $15 or less? So you're coughing up an extra $35 for the chance to win 30 Guilds packs and the privilege of getting to play the set before anyone else.

Well, it's not impossible for me but it would be difficult. I'd need to bring my cube with me to work on Friday because I'll be staying in the city overnight. (I'm not driving to PAX on Saturday.)

Hmmm.. My cube is missing a few random cards that I could replace pretty easily. It's also not a traditional cube, so I'm not sure how much fun it would be for everyone. It's all old-bordered cards. Here is the list. http://www.cubetutor.com/cubeblog/74852

I'm also not sure how smart it is to play with a crazy expensive cube in a large public setting like this. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

I have another idea, and it's going to be less of a burden than bringing my cube. I have a box of GNR Mythic Edition that we could draft. Trying to plan around the UMA events at 12, 2, and 5 seems rough, but who would be in for this?

I think so. I know that I had one or two black bordered juggernauts, so it's a good chance that you did.

Nice. I've tried to get beta copies of everything reasonable for the cube. Thankfully, I had some laying around or bought a lot of beta/arabian/antiquities stuff before it skyrocketed. There are a few cards I would love to get my hands on that will just never happen (bird of paradise...)
