Ended up going 3-1. Lost to a deck with two Dreamstealers, two Exemplars of Strength, and Pride Sovereign. Didn't see a bad card in his deck. Dreamstealer is ridiculous, especially with pump.

Hour of Devastation is as great as you would think. As long as you have some really good spells Bloodwater Entity is solid. Casting Pull from Tomorrow for 5 then getting it back to cast again or casting good removal and then getting it back is great.

I also could have played a GW deck with double Overwhelm and lots of 2-drops, but this deck seemed more fun. If this format plays out more like this rather than like Amonkhet then I'll be pretty happy, but I'm sure that draft will be considerably different.

Any thoughts on Uncage the Menagerie? With so many 2-drops it seemed good in the GW deck that I could have had.  Wondering if anyone had first hand experience.

I think Hour of Devastation and Supreme Will are two of the most impactful cards in the set (along with Abrade, in constructed), so it couldn't have been bad to see some play patterns for them in limited.

Did you run the GW deck? I think Uncage could be amazing for twos or threes, and it's exactly the kind of card I'd first pick early on.

I didn't play the GW deck unfortunately. I just opened Uncage again in an online pool, but not enough green to go with it and it's not really a good splash card. Did end up splashing green for the 1/4 spider and Honored Hydra.

My deck ... add lands and a Scorpion God (traded) and you get easy 4-0 ... hey I played well too.  Bringing me some glory:)

After going 4-0, Pete immediately found the closest whitewater rafting boat and struck a victory pose.

Glory Bringer, Chaos Maw, 4-mana crocodile, Edifice of Authority, some good ramping spells to cast these things, a god, and a 3-mana red card that's so good that it has to be hidden from view. Looks like a sweet deck. Would be great to have one or two of the red burn spells or an Ambuscade in there, but when your dragons just kill everything anyway who cares? Congrats on the 4-0! You should go whitewater rafting to celebrate. Hmmm... looks like another email just came in.
