Position: Data Analyst w/Market Data Exp. 

Duration - Long term 

Start date - Immediate 

Location - NYC 


Real time data means data provided by exchanges, stock market data, fixed income data, commodities market data etc.. Ideally the person should have worked on projects related to the trading rooms at any of the investment banks or worked for service providers like Thomson Reuters, Instinet or worked at any of the exchanges.

Job Description 
Candidates need to have heavy Market Data experience. 
Hence please share suitable resumes who have worked on Market Data/Bloomberg Data, Reuters Market data etc. 
The Data Analyst team is tasked with identifying and resolving data differences between the old and new versions of Bloomberg’s consolidated data feed.  We are looking for a candidate with market data knowledge, UNIX skills, understanding of metadata, excellent communication and problem solving skills.  Ours is a small group with big responsibilities.  Candidate should be a quick learner who enjoys real-time market data applications and trouble-shooting in a fast paced environment. 
Desired Skills & Experience 
• Working understanding of global Market Data usage including real time data from exchanges and OTC markets, security identification and reference data 
• At least 3 years experience in a UNIX environment 
• At least 3 years experience with XML 
• Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis in complex data delivery systems 
• Working knowledge of development tools such as git, debuggers, code repositories etc 
• Understand of system architecture and library usage 
• Experience with managing medium to large scale projects from requirement gathering to rollout 
• Strong communication skills 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Prior experience working with Qlikview and/or Bloomberg products a plus
