Hey Cabbies

What do you guys think of having our VSA table at Tet festival in SJ? The event is on the first weekend of next semester. We have to decide and let's Jessica Do know by Jan 7th. I will be out of states during winter break and that means limited internet availability and little time for checking email. So think about it and let's me know ASAP or else we'll miss the chance to represent and fundraise for some money. :o

Good luck on your studying yo. Even though it's dead week, but you are important individual, so try to STAY ALIVE! :)

Hello Everyone!!

I hope this email finds you well!!  I'm sure a lot of you are studying for finals and feeling the pressure, but make sure to take some time out to breathe and eat!!! and sleep too!!!

Anywhom, Hoi Tet Fairgrounds this year will be on Saturday & Sunday January 21 & 22nd.  UVSA has a "UVSA Corner" with 10 tables that we will provide to all affiliated schools who would like to have a table at the tet festival to show case your school.  The tet organizers also suggested that if you guys want to fundraise money, you can host a kid's activity or game at your table and have a donation box.  If your school would like to reserve a spot at "UVSA Corner", please let me know by January 7, 2012 (latest).

Thank you!!!

Hi all,

I think this is a good idea if people (Cabinet and others) in Cal VSA are serious about going and fundraising. If not, then it's pretty embarrassing to have only 1-2 people representing Cal VSA (as I've seen from last year). I'll be at the festival, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to [wo]man the table at all times.

If you can Vickie, we should hold out until the deadline (Jan 7) and ask what Cabinet Spring 2012 thinks.

P.S. Good luck on your studies everyone!

I agree with Vivo. If people are down to do it, then it would be a great opportunity! I would most likely be there anyways, so I can help if needed! :]

Hopefully people are studying! :D

I won't be doing anything on Saturday, January 21st. I just don't have a way to get there. Also I would like to advertise/market/fundraise for Culture Show at the event. I think it'll be a fruitful event. But just no ride there :(

Haha, I'm pretty sure the 7 dollar ao dais only refer to the premade ao dais that come in sizes S, M, L, if you know what I mean. They're the same kinds you can get at Asian stores here in America for about 15-20. But I think those would be nice to have. Maybe a set for culture show? :P

Yes, Candace is right the 7 dollars are the premade one. The custom made one are about 15 dollars though. Well I get them for about 15 dollars (minus the fabric price) but ao dais are hard for custom made without the human being here. But the premade one are quite nice imo. But yes if you want one i can get you lovely ladies one.
