I have X1 service and my own netflix account. I watch Netflix using my own account through the X1 Netflix Apps. Last week when I had a whole system refresh, when I go to Netflix Apps it automatically login with another user account (I don't know who she is but I can see her netflix registered email address and profiles). I acn watch netflix with her account but I want to use my own account. Comcast tried resetting the box, I reloaded the app and as soon as it comes up, it uses her account. I can force logout the account from the X1 DVR box (Arris AX103ANM) and login with my netflix account. But as soon as I logout, it switches to her account. Second problem is from the small companion tv boxes I use in other TVs, I cannot login to Netflix with my account. It piggybacks to the main DVR box and it thinks her account is the main account.
call during daytime east coast time 800-comcast and select billing. explain the problem to the agent and ask them to remove and reprovision your account then add the device back to your account. fixed?
I just got off with the customer service folks. They will try a full reset of my account at 2 am today. Will take approximately an hour and then I can check. They also scheduled a tech visit (although its restricted due to covid-19) between 1 to 3 pm later today. If the full reset works, then I can just cancel the appointment. I will post the results here.
Thanks for your answer, but I bought an Apple TV today and during the configuration process it requested my Apple ID...until then everything Ok but when I tried to get to Netflix the only option to open it is login with an Apple ID or buy a new one.
If you are signing up for Netflix on the Apple TV then that will be connected to your Apple ID. If you don't yet have an account and don't want to use your Apple ID then you will need to sign up via the Netflix website. If you already have an account then just login using those credentials.
The Apple ID is used for iTunes movies, music and tv shows as well as App Store downloads and homesharing local media. all apps are developed and supported by the content owner and will have seperate logins. For the sample, you can download the fox now app and watch clips but it requires an active cable/satellite subscription for full episodes. Netflix is a seperate company and has a seperate subscription account - you get 7 days free before they charge you.
That was originally the case when Netflix appeared on the older machines - later you were allowed to sign-up for Netflix services (for AppleTV/iOS devices) directly using your Apple ID for payment on a rolling basis with a 30 day free trial (in UK, maybe different elsewhere).
I was using a relatives Netflix who no longer has the package so I have now signed up to HD and have Netflix included. How do I change this on my sky Q and set up an new account as does not seem an option to log out.
Hi there @Will+Sussex You need to go to help section on the Netflix app and there is a sign out option there.
Once you have signed out you can reboot your Sky Box and go through the activation process.

I have the same issue as the person above. We've been using my daughter's account but now need to change this. I've tried logging out & rebooting my Sky Q box twice but my Netflix app still appears to be connected to my daughter's account, does it take some time?
No, it logs out but then if I go back into it, I'm logged in again. I had also lost access to Netflix but now it's back again, most bizarre. I'll get my daughter to check that she has access later! It's been ridiculous to sort out, I spoke to 2 different people at Sky today & neither could help!
I have a Sharp Roku TV and it keeps dropping whatever I'm watching and switching to the Netflix login screen every 5 minutes or so. I'll be watching a movie on Amazon Prime or HBO and the screen will just go black, and switch over to Netflix. I went to the main menu and checked for the most recent software update, and it's up-to-date, so I'm not sure how else I can fix this. Please help. Thanks!
This would appear to be a remote issue. Please contact your TV's manufacturer directly to report this issue and request additional support. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.
For my specific issue I finally have an answer. My son is pushing the "cast" button on his Ipad. It had nothing to do with the Roku, remote or TV and everything to do with casting. My son has low vision and hits the wrong icon when trying to perform a search.
There is something wrong - i am watching prime and it keeps switching back to netflix and my son gets logged out from Netflix on the Ipad whenever this happens. Very annoying - it happens often. This seems to be a bug Roku needs to fix it.
My TCL Roku keep switching to HBO this is ridiculous! TV only a year old to be having issues. I need some answers now! I would not be purchasing another TCL tv wouldn't be recommended to family members or friends.
I am trying to build a video streaming platform and I need to implement a limited devices login feature just like netflix. I have seen some people using node device detector to get the device type from the useragent, but I don't think this is a good solution since the user agent can be faked. Please any ideas on how to effectively implement this?
Netflix is a popular online streaming service that allows users to enjoy a wide variety of movies, TV shows, and anime. In this article, we will guide you through the process of Netflix login, creating a Netflix.com account, and how to sign up for Netflix.
To begin, let's start with the Netflix login process. Whether you are using a PC, laptop, Android phone, iPhone, or iPad, you can easily log in to Netflix with an internet connection. Here's how:
The content is available in various languages with subtitles, and you can watch videos in HD or 4K quality with low internet data usage. Netflix also allows you to download content for offline viewing and offers a multi-device streaming option, allowing you to enjoy Netflix on different devices simultaneously.
In conclusion, Netflix login is a simple process that allows you to access a vast library of movies, shows, and anime. By creating a Netflix.com account, you can enjoy unlimited streaming on a variety of devices. Sign up for Netflix today and indulge in your favorite entertainment wherever and whenever you want.
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.
I am curious what the general take of the recent Netflix announcement is with regard to our ability to control the traffic. Announcement here . I have an opinion as to whether it is necessary, but that is another subject altogether.
It is clear there is only so much application ID that can occur if the data is encrypted, but can it be combined with URL rules to control the traffic? We would, for example, have to know all of the URLs/subnets that youtube (or Netflix) videos are streamed from. Is that even possible?
We have yet to implement any decryption, but I see that it is going to have to happen at some point. But if we implemented it, is anything going to be able to keep up with the decryption process when it is decrypting a bunch streaming data?
With decryption, you have access to the sub-functions within that application (ie: being able to tell the difference between netflix queue management and streaming, or the difference between facebook-posting and facebook-file-transfer).
Jared is absolutely correct regarding using decryption to enable inspection. To address the performance concern: whether or not decryption has an appreciable effect on your performance depends entirely on *how much* you are decrypting. Each platform has specific upper limits in terms of the maximum number of concurrent decrypted sessions. The additional overhead caused by decryption will depend on this volume. You can limit the scope of decrypted traffic using different criteria (e.g. URL category). This approach will let you inspect things that need to be, like youtube, facebook, etc. while not wasting resources on sessions that probably don't need to be (e.g. online banking, healthcare, etc).
It depends if Netflix just wants to protect the name of the content being watched, or if they really want hide the fact you watch Netflix at all. Like Jared said, you can see the domain name during the SSL/TLS handshake, so you will still be able to block Netflix if you want. After all, if a user cannot login to the main page, he won't be able to watch anything.
