Berkeley Organization for Animal Advocacy first meeting 9/12

Hi folks,

Welcome to the Berkeley Organization for Animal Advocacy (BOAA) general
email listserve. Here you will receive a weekly email containing
information about our upcoming meetings, as well as events around the Bay
Area having to do with animal activism.

Our first meeting will be Wednesday 9/12 at 6:30pm at the outdoor seating
part of the Free Speech Movement Cafe on campus. We will have a sign so
that you can find us. This will be an informal meeting where returning
members of the organization will talk about what the group has done in the
past, and what we are planning for this semester. We'd love to answer any
and all questions you may have about what animal advocacy is, and how you
can get involved with BOAA. We are striving to be a non-hierarchical
group of people with a horizontal organizational structure, meaning we are
encouraging any and all individuals to coordinate projects within whatever
realm of animal activism they are interested in. We are open to any and
all perspectives, and differing knowledges, on animal rights.
