Bassam Issa DDS graduated as a dentist in 2002. He went on to complete a general practice residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, he finished 2 years of residency at Carolinas Medical Center and UNC-Chapel Hill where he specialized in oral medicine and facial pain. Dr. Issa is the only dentist in this area who has this specialty and work in a private practice.

Dr. Issa is one of few dentists in the U.S. who specializes in Oral Medicine and practices general dentistry as well in private practice. This gives him the ability to perform a comprehensive evaluation for his patients.

Dr. Issa is a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American College of Maxillofacial Implantology.

Dr. Bowers is a Michigan native who grew up making the trek to Ann Arbor to watch the Wolverines play. He attended high school in Goodrich and then completed a Bachelors of Business Administration at the School of Management at University of Michigan-Flint. He then traveled to Ohio for a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine; he received his degree in 2018.

We are pleased that he decided to return to his home state to practice. Dr. Bowers loves having the opportunity to provide high-quality dental care to the community in which he grew up.

Dr. Jacob Vanitvelt, grew up and graduated from Grand Blanc High School, go Bobcats! After GBHS, he attended Jackson College where he met his wife, Kelsey, and played baseball while earning an Associates degree. Baseball then took him to Chicago State University, where he traveled the country while completing my Bachelors degree. Dr. Vanitvelt then worked as a dental assistant for 1 year before attending dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. V is thrilled to move back to his hometown and serve the community that gave him countless opportunities growing up.

In September of 2022, Kelsey and Dr. V had their dream wedding in Snoqualmie, WA after 7 wonderful years together. They have two dogs, North and River, and love spending time outside, cooking, and most of all, traveling.

During dental school, Dr. V spent his years providing care to numerous underserved populations, something he looks forward to continuing. Inclusivity and compassion are important to him as a dentist, so come and see Dr. V!

After graduating from Damascus University in 1988 with a Bachelor's degree in Dental Laboratory Technology, Bassam went to serve 2 years in the military making dentures and retainers. Following his service in 1990, he started his own Dental Lab which he ran until he and his wife moved to America in 2013 with their 3 children.

In 2015, Bassam opened Nahhas Dental Lab, an in-house dental lab where he fabricates a wide variety of dental appliances including but not limited to: retainers, occlusal guards, crowns, implants, partials and dentures.

Bassam continues to operate Nahhas Dental Lab successfully, with the help of his wife and their children! He joined Dental Care Team in 2018 with over 30 years of experience and we are pleased to have him with us!

Outside of work, Bassam enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying his wife's amazing home cooked meals, fishing and hunting.

Dr. Asaad's mission as a dental professional is to make a difference in her patients' life by giving them confidence in their oral health and helping them maintain dental health for a lifetime.

Dr. A graduated from Wayne State University with BS in Biology then went to Chicago to obtain her degree in Dental Medicine from Midwestern University.

She loves spending time with her family, listening to music, and enjoying long walks outside in nature.
