Cal Squash box league, who's in?

Hi there all:

Cal has been very restrictive about who can play at the now reopened squash courts in SRF but we recently discovered that alumni are eligible for Cal Rec Club membership even though it isn't on their web page.  You have to join the Cl Alumni Association https://alumni.berkeley.edu/

Unfortunately it has not yet opened up to the general community.

If there is enough interest I'll figure out how to get the website going again.  We need enough interest for at least a few boxes.

Hi there all:

I have some responses and some updates. It is worth asking to rejoin without mentioning the Alumni Association. Some people have rejoined without that requirement,  It is also worth asking if you can get the 2020 unused membership as a credit.  One person was successful. It likely depends on exactly who you ask.

We have enough players who replied for one box (the 2 upstairs courts are open).

I am traveling for September and October so sadly can't participate.

Players who may be interested in joining or playing include Meldan Heaslip. Ben Faber and Mike Jensen-Akula and I could extend the first box.

It's a diverse group and many people haven't played for a couple of years so expect variation in level until we get more players and everyone gets back into practice.

If this is OK by you, hit reply with Yes and I'll try and get a box posted this week.
