The course focuses on representing three-dimensional objects in two dimensional space using various views, such as isometric, multi-view sketches, and section view, and auxiliary views. Tolerancing and dimensioning, as well as notation for manufacturing will also be discussed. Through the use of computer aided design (CAD) tools, students will apply the theory to real-world problems where they will be required to dissect, graphically represent, and redesign Mechatronic products.

When you complete the course, you would enhance your knowledge base, develop and hone investigation and problem analysis skills, be introduced to design and hone constraint identification and design generation skills, gain advance knowledge in SolidWorks and technical drawing as well as be introduced to the role of engineer in society.
