Since Hwy 1 will remain closed for the forseeable future, the  "Pacific Coast Series"  of perms from Canada to Mexico needed some new routes around Big Sur.  The new chain of perms are:
Capitola to Greenfield, Greenfield to Plaskett Creek, Plaskett Creek to Morro Bay, and Morro Bay to Lompoc.

Greenfield to Plaskett Creek is still awating the re-opening of Naciemiento-Furgusson Rd, which is scheduled for Sept. 15. This is the only road that gets one back to the coast from inland, and is south of the Regent's Slide on Hwy 1. Local news here: https://www.ksbw.com/article/california-road-nears-reopening-access-big-sur/62009268

If N-F road remains closed, or landslides happen again on Big Sur, (seems inevitable!)  then a longer but flatter route which stays inland--Greenfield to Morro Bay-- is also in place.

Many thanks to Crista Borras,  The Permanista at RUSA for all of her help and carful editing of these routes.
