Greetings Randos,
During the next month the Santa Cruz Randonneurs will be hosting three 300k brevets. Each has a different flavor but all will provide a good randonneuring experience.

Saturday, March 7 — La Gloria 300k brevet. This route explores some lovely, lesser used roads in the central coast region. It has about 20 kms of dirt roads and about 9.300 feet of ascent. Tires of 38-40mm or wider are recommended.
Carmel start/finish, 6 AM start

Saturday, March 21 — HMB-Marina 300k brevet. This is our regular 300k brevet route and provides a challenging but doable route. Its 9,200 feet of climbing has about the same amount of ascent per mile as PBP. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38845484
Santa Cruz start/finish, 6 AM start

Saturday, April 4 — La Voie Berg 300k brevet. A tribute to our old pal Bruce Berg, using some of his favorite roads. This hilly brevet goes south along the beautiful Big Sur Coast and then inland on legendary Nacimiento-Fergusson Road. This is a challenging brevet with over 12,600 feet of climbing, so bring your A-Game!
Carmel start/finish, 6 AM start

All these brevets are sanctioned by the Audax Club Parisien and Randonneurs USA, and they will count for your 2026 “pre-registration” priority to choose your PBP starting wave in 2027, as well as the ACP’s Super Randonneur medal.

Entry for each event must be received not later than the Wednesday at 8 PM in the week before each ride. More information and registration can be found at: https://santacruzrandonneurs.org/

Bonne route!
