Hello Cal Poly Robotics! I hope your quarter is going well!

This Saturday, we will be having another build day starting at 10am. We will be splitting projects into different locations. If you wish to work on Astromech (the Star Wars droid) or HerbieV2, then please head to14-301 and please bring a laptop if you can. If you wish to work on VexU, then head to the high bay in building 197 (where the robotics room is) please bring your laptop if you can. If you wish to work on UROV or Mech Warfare then head to the robotics room. We hope to see you there!

We would also like to inform everyone of the club dues. The club dues go to paying for pizza each week that everyone eats for lunch because of this, those who do not pay dues will not be able to partake in pizza starting Saturday, October 9. Club dues are not mandatory and those who do not pay dues will still be capable of working on the projects.

Club Dues:

  • $15 T-shirt

  • $20 T-shirt + Pizza for the quarter

  • $40 T-shirt + Pizza for the year

This quarter, we will be co-hosting an office hour with WISH on Mondays 1-2pm and Fridays 2-3pm in the clubroom 197-102. Office hours are a fun time to hang out with other club members and if you need it, get some help on some of your projects or class assignments.

We will also be hosting standups Tuesdays and Fridays 10:50 am - 11:10 am over zoom (meeting ID will be set out on the slack before the event). Standups are commonly used in industry as a brief check-in at the beginning of the day to say what you’ve been working on, and what you plan to complete.

Finally, If anyone would like to revive a project,  please fill out the application by October 12. If anyone would like to start a new project, please fill out the application by October 19.
