I have noticed on many pro captains ships that their Knowledge Slots are filled with rare/unique/special books that are not the regular/standard books. Can (and will) someone please make a list of these rare/unique/special books and how to craft them? I do not even know the names of these things, so I am sorry I cannot offer a specific question for each of them.

All this info, IMO, should be in game. @admin Currently, there is nothing in game that informs captains as to what even is possible for crafting. Also, may I suggest that you make items inside Clan Warehouses have pop-ups like everywhere else does? Also, for the paints, show pictures of the ship with the paints applied when we mouse over it?

I certainly do know of it, those guys do aan amazing job on it, but on there I never saw anything about Specialty/Unique Knowledge Books......actually, I just found some things...but it doesn't distinguish between it being regular books or specialty books...so my small mind was/is confused. At any rate, no new player should have to use a 3rd party project to know aspects of the game. This all should be in game, IMO.

There's nothing quite like picking up a book for the first time and feeling that invisible burst of excitement for the wisdom that lies within its pages. This magic speaks of possibility and asks us to remember that there is always more to discover, more to understand and importantly, more fun to be had!

Kids are like hungry little information sponges, keen to learn and explore. Their wonderful sense of curiosity must be encouraged and kept alive as they grow and negotiate their way through school and into adult life. Non-fiction is important during this time as it motivates children to ask questions and relate to the wider world.

They need to get outside and explore nature, make those craft projects, stare at the night sky and contemplate what life was like when T-rex roamed the planet. Facts about ancient Egyptian goddesses, space missions to Mars or endangered snow leopards may seem like pieces of passing information, but they plant seeds of interest and encourage children to look at the past, present and future in a conscious way.

All life on Earth is connected, and books remind us of this by building relationships. When an adult reads to a child at bedtime, and they share the turning of the pages, they are creating a priceless moment in time between two people. There's beauty in getting the cover of a nature handbook slightly mucky as you trudge across across a field to identify a tree species. And there's certainly humour in placing a sticker of a chicken on your Gran's forehead instead of on the pages of the farm scene that's meant to be filled in.

Books place us in the here and now with a physical, mindful and connective experience. When they are carefully designed, imaginatively illustrated and beautifully produced, they subtly show children how much joy can be found in the simplest of places. This knowledge in itself is priceless and is why I love children's non-fiction so much.

Young children start to develop book knowledge and print concepts long before they can read. They learn about the written forms of the language or languages that adults share with them. Book knowledge is the understanding of how books and print work, like how to turn the pages of a book. Print awareness is the understanding that print is speech written down. Learn specific strategies to support book knowledge for children who are dual language learners who also have a disability or suspected delays. Explore these resources to learn more about how young children build these key skills and how parents and families can help children develop them.

This supplement describes what we know about how children who are dual language learners and who also have a disability or suspected delay can develop book knowledge. Discover highly individualized practices to support children to learn how books work and print concepts, such as that printed words represent objects and ideas and that print in books tells a story.

Learn about specific research-based strategies that can help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers develop book knowledge and print concepts. Explore examples to see how to use these strategies in daily life.

MnDOT hired MASK expert Jean-Francois Tendron to interview long-term experts at MnDOT and prepare slide-based knowledge books detailing expert insight on concrete pavement rehabilitation, asphalt pavements and aggregates, and steel bridge construction. Minnesota-based educational media experts were also hired to convert two of the knowledge retention presentations into a mobile-friendly platform that is also compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and more accessible to both the public and Minnesota road agency administrators, engineers and field crews.

Interview results were compiled into slide presentations with video segments and relevant documents that users can view in any order. Media consultants reformatted the content from two of the slide presentations into electronic-learning books that can be accessed with desktops, tablet computers and other mobile devices.

The Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation Knowledge Book, which was completed first as a slide presentation, is currently being used by MnDOT materials engineers and will be available online as an e-book in 2021. This book allows readers to review concrete rehabilitation approaches during planning and fieldwork. It guides users through estimating work, materials and traffic control needs; selecting and coring samples from concrete pads; chain-dragging inspection at joints; and lab testing, with techniques demonstrated by Bruhn based on his 33 years (and counting) of work in the field with concrete rehabilitation.

The Structural Steel Bridge Construction Knowledge Book is available on request as a slide presentation. Niemann, a retired MnDOT metallurgical engineer, draws upon his 27 years of expertise at MnDOT in steel bridge fabrication, construction and maintenance to guide users through evaluating project needs, identifying materials and quantities, planning and scheduling work, and budgeting for repairs and new construction.

The three knowledge books, believed to be the first three in the U.S. public sector, allow users to virtually consult with Bruhn, Linell and Niemann about pavement and bridge projects. Project champions expect that the knowledge books will prove particularly valuable to newer employees after key topical experts retire. MnDOT may use the MASK method to develop e-books on other topics.

The Book of Jewish Knowledge offers 1200 answers in 1200 voices, presenting the story of Judaism via the variety of media that capture the Jewish experience: a Biblical account, a traditional Jewish practice, a painting by a Jewish artist, a Midrashic parable, a Talmudic discourse, a historical document, a poignant photograph, a gefilte fish recipe, a prayer from Psalms, a Scriptural aphorism, a Halachic responsum, a Kabbalistic diagram, a philosophical essay, a 12th-century travelogue. Collectively, these present the reader with an encyclopedic overview of Jewish history, an in-depth examination of four millennia of Jewish wisdom, and an intimate tour of Jewish traditions and observances.

This groundbreaking 496-page volume surveys the full scope of Jewish teaching and Jewish life, while also doing justice to the depth and beauty of Judaism. Whether this is your first book on Judaism, or if you are approaching it with a lifetime of learning and engagement, you are sure to gain a new appreciation of the range and grandeur of Jewish knowledge and experience.

The results were noteworthy: Children in the read-aloud group learned significantly more words and science concepts than those in the control groups, with growth for English language learners (ELL) exceeding that of native speakers.
