I've never heard of Rocketfish cable but google search shows that it's just an HDMI cable. Did you switch (your TV remote) to HDMI input channel that corresponds to the correct HDMI input on the TV? Did you try plugging the cable into different HDMI input on the TV? Before it fails, did you change anything such as upgrading iOS, upgrading Netflix app or changing cable etc?
You can also use AirPlay to send the video to an Apple TV through your wireless network, although the Apple TV also has the Netflix app installed. Even then the Apple TV is a good addition to your home theatre for streaming other content off the iPad, iPhones, computer or video rentals for iTunes.
I've got an HDMI cable which normally transmits what I'm seeing on my iPad screen to my TV except when I try and play a Netflix movie I get a message (on the IPad) saying "Cannot Play Video - The connected display is not supported."
Thanks for quick reply. Is it possible my TV is just too old (2011) for this new technology (for e.g. it's not HDCP compliant - whatever that means)? If so, is using a Chromecast likely to produce any different result do you think?
I don't know what TV you're using. I got my LCD TV in 2009, older than yours but it works fine. As long as you have an HDMI input, you can use Chromecast device. Best part of it is the cost. I got mine for about twenty bucks.
II've been streaming Netflix through my iPad for awhile successfully. I have the cable. However now somethings not connecting...get message on tv "no signal". Could this be my settings on my tv remote? I it on component to Netflix. Sorry, not very technical. Any suggestions appreciated.

With everything. plugged in, have you tried doing a hard reset of your iPad by holding down the. Home and sleep buttons simultaneously until the screen turns black and the Apple Logo appears and then let go of the buttons?

yes, I changed tv remote settings to component as the cable has several wires. Always worked before. Now just get "no signal"....it's like there's no connection. Netflix works just fine on my iPad but it doesn't stream to tv.
The adapters for iPads can be unreliable and aren't terribly rugged. I would highly recommend purchasing a Chromecast or better still an AppleTV. If you're getting an HDCP error, that would likely be a bad or old HDMI cable. I would first suggest a new HDMI cable. If the issue still persists it could be your TV.
Am I able to watch all Roku channels on my iPad? Am I restricted to only the one channel that is currently on the TV? I have saved "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" on my iPad. Can I watch that on my iPad independently of the TV?
Thanks all for your assistance. I think I get it now. You cannot use the channel guide to mirror streaming shows on your TV directly to your iPad, but there is a limited amount of Roku content that is available on your iPad using the app.
The key is finding on your iPad what is viewable and what is viewable for free on that device. Sometimes I can view shows on my iPad that are currently streaming, but I cannot access them if I search that particular title in the app. I don't see why that is.
@PopeyeTheSailor, if you're speaking of The Roku Channel which is an app on Roku devices, you can use the mobile app or the website to watch the free content that's available there. If you want to use any other app that's available on a Roku device on your iPad, you'll need to find an equivalent iOS app. The mobile app is not a substitute for an actual Roku device.
You can watch Roku Channel content on your iPad via the Roku app, but no other Roku device is involved. That is, your Ultra would not be a part of that mix. You can use the Roku app on your iPad regardless of whether or not there are any other Roku devices. But the viewing would be limited to Roku Channel content, which is not the entire Roku app library.
Many apps and services do make apps for both Roku and iPad. Netflix, for example, has a Roku app and an iPad app. If you subscribe to Netflix directly, you could use the credentials to watch on either device. But again, the devices are not connected in any way, wired or wireless.

If it's something you're watching within Roku Channel, it should be the same content available on each platform (Roku or iPad). If you watch it on your Roku, but not within Roku Channel, then it may or may not be available. That's up to the developer.
Oh, and for iPhone 15 peoples, the existing two-years free applies. Meaning that on the whole, Apple has deferred this potential-payment-problem decision till 2025. These days, the feature is available in the following countries, for both iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users.
The core difference with an app like RideWithGPS is that it also has sensor support (even Garmin Varia radar integration), as well as uploads to all the various 3rd party platforms like a head unit (whereas Google Maps will most definitely not upload to Strava).

2-I wish Peloton would allow none Peloton bikes to connect to their system, specifically for their scenic rides. I like to do those rides from time-to-time, but I am not a fan of the bike itself as I prefer to ride my Cannondale on my Wahoo.
Most other communicators (EPIRB/PLB, 911 call on a cell phone) will pass through an emergency call without any other charges, so long as the device functions. I think where Garmin and others in the satellite device arena are making their money is non-emergency check-ins and tracking, as well as messaging, rather than on a cost per emergency call.
I doubt it will ever happen, but it would be interesting if NordicTrack finally feels enough pressure to add Netflix to its platform after years of users having to use all kinds of workarounds to get it working.
Hi Ray, on my peloton bike+ (UK based) I only see the Disney App in the Beta Entertainment function. Is there a way of getting access to more providers or is all pushed depending on your country etc? There is the netflix app hidden away in the Apps area but there is no ride data displayed in a sidebar so pretty useless. Anyone else had similar experiences?

Hi I am trying to access Netflix on my ipad but it dosen't recognise my email directly on the app but I can't seem to find a link through the Sky Go either? Are you able to watch and download Netflix through Sky?
The Netflix app on Windows/OXS/android/iOS etc. is supposed to permit a login using the same credentials as the app on Sky Q/Glass/Stream, and will give the access permitted by the relevant add-ons to the Sky subscription.

It enhances our camping experience to have the ability to use our phone to watch TV. While we love camping and the freedom of being outdoors and visiting new areas, we really like to watch a little television before going to sleep at night. Unfortunately, there are little or no options in some of the lovely, remote areas we like to visit. That is where having the option of entertainment via our phone is so nice.
