I have a new 42" Onn Roku tv that keeps crashing out. It doesn't matter which app I'm running at any given time, (Sling, Roku, Vudu, Etc.), it will suddenly stop running / crash and put me back on the selection screen. It usually does this within 15 minutes or so after turning the tv on but may actually give me up to 30 min. of air time. At times it simply freezes and will not do anything at all unless a hard boot is performed (unplugging). All of the "power saving" options are turned off and it's not the internet as we have at least one other tv running at any given time and this one is the only one presenting any kind of problem. Any idea what's going on? Beginning to feel like a store return is in my future....

I tried a sort of "solution" I read while researching this problem. It may or may not work for anyone else but so far it has for me. Turn the set off by using the power button on the TV, (on my model, it's on the bottom of the set beneath the screen in the center). Then unplug the TV and hold the power button for ten seconds or so. This apparently drains any residual energy / electricity from the set. Plug it back in and turn on using the set's power button. In my case, the set will operate fine for the rest of the day. I have to keep doing it daily though. Sort of a "poor man's" solution but i guess it's better than nothing....

Just a quick addition: I had a TCL Roku with a major problem freezing and my work around was to just bypass everything with a streaming stick. Garbage internals as far as streaming on these Roku TV's?

I also recently bought a 42" Onn roku tv. I paid $88 during a Walmart black Friday sale. I received the tv November 10th 2020 and since then the apps have crashed multiple times and its constantly losing the network connection. I've also restarted my router, uninstalled and reinstalled all my streaming channels and reset the tv to factory settings. Today after the factory reset its already crashed while using the Hulu and Prime video apps. Its very frustrating. Also thinking if returning but with the situation the stores are very chaotic

Can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)

It doesn't matter which app I'm using, (sling, vudu, pluto, etc), or when. It will suddenly drop me and return to the "home" screen. This nearly always occurs during the first 15 min. or so after turning on the set.

I'm having issues with system freezing up.Not only does the game freeze but so do all functions.Buttons, screen and joy sticks become unresponsive as well.Only option is to turn it off and back on.Hoping this is a software issue that can be fixed thru a update. Is anybody else experiencing this issue.

I'm haivng a similar issue. It takes such a long time to boot up, and when it does the armoury crate then takes a while. My side buttons to pop out command centre and armoury crate are unresponsive, and most of the other buttons can become unresponsive too. If I try to shut down without hard shutting down, it doesn't seem to register until about 10 minutes later and then randomly shuts down when I'm in the middle of something else. These issues only started last night, the only thing I've done differently is I've been using the gaming charger dock. It's made my system almost completel dysfunctional.

I would like to confirm with you whether your BIOS has been updated to the latest version 323.
Could you please describe the situation you encountered so that we can further understand the issue you are facing?
Did the freezing occur while using a specific software, or did it happen during idle moments? When the freezing occurs, is the touch functionality unresponsive, or do the applications not respond?
Have you tried reinstalling the software or resetting the system to see if there is any improvement? thank you

Having the same issue. Worked fine last night. Tried to play this morning. Nothing loading and unresponsive. Touch screen registers touch but does nothing. Have to shut down by holding power button down. I've been trying to play a game for 2 hours now.

I would like to confirm with you whether your current BIOS version has been updated to the latest version 323. Could you please let me know if you have the power connected when playing games? After restarting, do you still experience the unresponsive issue?

Additionally, I would like to confirm whether the game is stored on an SD card or the internal storage. If it's stored on an SD card, could you please try moving the game/software to the internal storage and see if it functions properly? Thank you.

All software and bios is up to date. It happens both plugged in and not plugged in. I have games installed on both internal and SD card. The current games I am trying to play are installed on the internal. I usually have to restart it 3 or 4 times before I can successfully play something. The issues im having that require a restart are armoury crate not loading, games not launching. Game launches then none of the buttons work. I've also had the issue when docked my xbox controller wont work properly. It seems to work slightly better when the SD card is taken out. Although this may just be a coincidence. After I get it running I have no issues

Thank you for your resply.
Please try uninstalling and reinstalling Armoury Crate and observe if the issue persists. If the problem continues, kindly remove the SD card for a while and see if that helps.
If you have any other concerns, please feel free to let me know. Thank you.
