Purchasedthe clear green Hunter controller for my childhood og xbox and I am very pleased with. The build quality and weight are excellent aswell as the textured finish.

Obviously the original controller has a level of nostalgia to it but this is a great replacement and the wireless variant I purchased is fantastic and really makes the system more usable in the current date.

The weapon is a real replica of the famous SVD, manufactured by IZHMASH. The size of the parts is identical to those used in the original weapon. It would be hard for you to tell the difference between the guns. The lovers of sniper rifles will like the metal frame with high-impact ABS plastic inserts as well as the folding buttstock. Ergonomics and increased reliability - these are the distinctive features of this tagger.

Both Original and Refined styles come in a gloss or matte finish and both are equally attractive. For me, the difference is in the maintenance. The first pair of Hunters I purchased were glossy. To my surprise that beautiful glossy finish deteriorated fairly quickly and my shiny new boots became dull within a matter of weeks. I personally prefer the more understated matte look and find them easier to care for.

Both the Original and Refined boots come in tall and short styles. I own both and think they each have their advantages. SimI find that the tall boots are more flattering and easy to style. They also come in handy if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow. On the flips side, the shorter style is easier to put on and take off. The lighter and more compact design also makes them more portable and easier to carry around or travel with. It all depends on what you want them for.

Did you buy the Refined style or the Original? If you bought the Refined I would say definitely SIZE UP! If you bought the Originals your normal size should be fine. I have large calves too and the one size up refined style works perfect for me. I hope that helps and that you find a pair to fit you well!

Hi, question! I bought the redefined tall hunter boots and they seem to fit snug around the calf. I love the style though. Are they suppose to be really tight? Or is there another version of the boot with an adjustable back? I saw the redefined back strap boot, is that adjustable?

Hi! I'm clearly not Kimberly, but I've had Tour boots in black for about three years now and they still look great. Granted, I live in San Diego so we get less rain than other places, but I actually wear them at the slightest hint of rain and have also traveled with them quite a lot. I think they're great and I love how lightweight they are. I did add some "Superfeet" insoles to make them more comfortable for extended walking and this has made them even better, although I don't think this is absolutely necessary.

I loved that post. I was searching information about the kid's boots. I live in Argentina and we can't buy them here. My parents are going to visit Europe in a month and it's a great oportunity to get a pair. My problem is that I have short legs so I need a kid's pair and I didn't know if there were any difference between the woman's boots. Thank you very much!

Oh, was searching some info about the origins before have found your blog;) I see many people advice some of French brands, can anybody tell a bit about them? Just confused, it can be just an advertisement. Thank's)

This was sooo sooo helpful! Thank you so much! The review and details were great and it definitely helped me with my purchase decision. It's so nice to get reviews specifically from other petite ladies, keep up the great work! I will be a retuning visitor to your website

I just bought the hunter tour boots in green. I love the style and the lightness but I'm hesitant to keep them. I can't help but feel that they were excluded from the warranty because they won't last two years. Now that you've had them for a couple months, do you still feel like they are durable and will last three years?

Hi! You should try Dav boots, they make rubber boots that looks like leather and they are made for petite calves. The fit is awesome, and I think that they look better with a dress or skirt than Hunters. I'm just in love with their Berlin model!

Enjoy! ?

Hi Jean! I'm petite as well and I've always had good luck with Kamik boots (available on Amazon), both with and without an attached sock lining for winter. They tend to be narrow in the calf with relatively shorter shafts.

The boots came with a large drawstring bag to store them in when traveling. I tuck a pair of cute ballet flats into this bag, then put that bag into my large work purse. I wear the boots as needed, and if necessary, swap them out for the shoes in my bag. If it happens to be a particularly muddy, grimy day, I keep a travel sized packet of makeup removing wipes in my bag to remove the worst of the grime before stowing. I should note that the Hunter bag is made of pretty substantial material (nylon, maybe?) and the mud will wipe off easily after it dries. If you are concerned about the boots unrolling in their bag, inexpensive elastic circular headbands from Goody (the thin workout kind) will keep them securely in place. Of course, you could always just carry them by the bag's drawstring if it doesn't fit in your purse.

I love these looks and your sparkely skirt! I always love all your picks. I was wondering if you would be doing a Black Friday Pick's Post? Would love to have some inspiration in midst of getting so overwhlemed with all the sales. Thanks!

I just bought my first pair of Hunter boots off Piperlime when I saw your post about it with the discount codes (thank you!!). I got a size 7 red women's tour. The ankle area is quite spacious, but my pants don't tuck in very well. With leggings it's fine, but I wonder if I'll be able to wear only leggings in the winter! -Audrey Brunch at Audrey's

I'm wondering what people do for commuting. Often it's raining in the morning but not in the evening. So on the way home I'm either stomping around uncomfortably in the boots (not so bad in the winter but awful in sweltering July heat) or I'm carrying gigantic boots around on the Metro.

Have you heard of a French brand named Aigle? They make some of the best looking and supple rubber boots. They also have various models to suit everyone from petites to athletics. I have a pair of grey Aiglentine and I can vouch for the warmth and comfort of these guys.

Loved this post! I've never thought about the kid's Hunters hitting lower. I'm about 5'2'' and the adult boots hit my knee at an annoying place. Do you know if the Packable Tour Kids Hunters would be very comfortable? I've been eyeing the women's Packable Tour boots for a while now.

City Hunter spawned a media franchise consisting of numerous adaptations and spin-offs from several countries. The franchise includes four anime television series, three anime television specials, five animated feature films (including a film released in February 2019 and in September 2023), several live-action films (including a Hong Kong film starring Jackie Chan and a French film), video games, and a live-action Korean TV drama. It also had a spin-off manga, Angel Heart, which in turn spawned its own anime television series and a live-action Japanese TV drama.

The series follows the exploits of Ryo Saeba, a "sweeper" who is always found chasing beautiful girls and a private detective who works to rid Tokyo of crime, along with his associate or partner, Hideyuki Makimura. Their "City Hunter" business is an underground jack-of-all-trades operation, contacted by writing the letters "XYZ" on a blackboard at Shinjuku Station.

One day, Hideyuki is murdered, and Ryo must take care of Hideyuki's sister, Kaori, a tomboy who becomes his new partner in the process. However, Kaori is very susceptible and jealous, often hitting Ryo with a giant hammer when he does something perverted. The story also follows the behind-the-scenes romance between Ryo and Kaori and the way they cooperate throughout each mission.

Written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo, City Hunter started in Shueisha's shōnen manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Jump on February 26, 1985,[4] and ran until the December 2, 1991, issue.[5][6] Its chapters were collected by Shueisha in 35 volumes, under the Jump Comics imprint, between January 15, 1986, and April 15, 1992.[7][8] In these volumes the series is grouped into 55 different stories or "episodes" instead of as their original individual chapters. Each story is centred on a different female character or "heroine".[9][10] The series was an 18 volume edition by Shueisha from June 18, 1996, to October 17, 1997.[11][12] A third edition of 32 volumes was published by Tokuma Shoten from December 16, 2003, to April 15, 2005.[13][14] To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series, a fourth edition City Hunter XYZ edition is being published by Tokuma Shoten across twelve volumes.[15] The first volume was published on July 18, 2015.[16] The eighth volume was published on October 20, 2015.[17]

Attempts were made to license the series for the American comic market during the 1980s; however, Hojo insisted the manga should be released in the right-to-left format. In 2002 Coamix created an American subsidiary, Gutsoon! Entertainment. City Hunter was a flagship title in their Raijin Comics anthology. Raijin switched from a weekly format to a monthly format before being cancelled after 46 issues.[19]

In 2001, Hojo started a spin-off series titled Angel Heart. The series takes place in a universe parallel to City Hunter, where the character of Kaori Makimura is killed and her heart transplanted into Xiang-Ying, Angel Heart's protagonist.[21]

A spin-off manga titled Kyō Kara City Hunter (今日からCITY HUNTER, Today from City Hunter) was launched in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly Comic Zenon magazine on July 25, 2017. It is centered around a 40-year-old unmarried woman who is a fan of Ryō Saeba and the City Hunter manga, and suddenly dies in a train accident and is reincarnated into the world of City Hunter.[1]
