John...Your Canon EOS 1300D continues to throw wrenches into the machine!
This morning I woke up with a feeling of dread. It is related to the version of LibRAW that I must migrate to in the coming months. I must migrate because CaLIGHTs has to stay current with new model cameras. The folks at Deep Sky Stacker(DSS) have already migrated to the latest version and went thru some grief with DSLR users like you who own cameras that yield images with odd values for width. LibRAW decided that ALL cameras will have even values for width. They did this by rounding down the value for width to the next lowest even value.
I just checked your .CR2 file with the latest version of DSS and instead of reporting your image dimensions as 5202 x 3465....it reports the dimensions as 5202 x 3464!!! For DSS users this means that owners of cameras that have this issue need to regenerate all of their masters...and they are/were NOT happy. The folks that support DSS were equally unhappy and made sure the people who maintain LibRAW knew it...but the LibRAW folks did not budge.
So...I have taken down the download for v3.1.0.91
This is a camera specific issue and I think the best solution is to modify CaLIGHTs so that when I do migrate to the latest version of LibRAW that these users will not have to regenerate their masters again...once is bad enough.
So...for the next day or so there will not be a version of CaLIGHTs available for download. Once I fully understand how the latest version of LibRAW has impacted DSS, I will modify CaLIGHTs so that it is fully compatible with the eventual migration to the latest version of LibRAW. This is a camera specific issue and I suspect it will impact all DSLRs that create RAW images with odd values for width and/or height.
John...I should thank you for bring this to my attention. Yes..it does trigger some pain but I believe it's a move that is best done once.
