Hello Soapmakers,

Ruth will be teaching the Hands-On Cold Process Soap Making Lab later
this month (5/14)
at The Nova Studio in Point Richmond, CA and we're looking for anyone
willing to be the teaching assistant (TA) for that session. A TA is a
really important part of the class, as it frees the teacher up to
focus more on
the students and the soap making. Someone to be an extra pair of eyes
and hands helps the class flow more efficiently.

Specifically, the TA needs to be at The Nova Studio one hour before
the lab starts to help with setting up and expect to stay one hour
after class to help with clean up. During the lab the TA helps with
measuring out ingredients, helping students get oriented and just
general encouragement!

In exchange for all of this great help, the TA pays no class fee &
gets the hands-on experience of helping the students weigh out their
batches & make their soap. We would prefer to find a TA who does not
wish to make soap this time, but if this is a deal breaker for you
just let us know, and you can pay the $30 materials fee & make a batch
of soap at the end of the day.

This is a great opportunity if you would like to spend some time with
other soap makers who are just as excited about it as you are!

The specifics:
Hands-On Lab: Cold Process Soapmaking
Saturday, May 14, 2011
Class time: 2:30pm-4:30pm (the TA would have to be here 1:30pm-5:30pm)
