Hello Everyone

I am interested in adding candles to my product mix BUT I do not want to make them.  Does anyone know of a private company or candlemaker that I could talk to about purchasing some of their products.  The candles need to be either soy or beeswax and preferable scented with essential oils.  I also prefer the candles to be in a glass and burn 40+ hours.  Other words, I am looking for large, glass candles that smell great and are natural.  Prefer locally made but I am open about that.  Any information is appreciated.  Thanks!

hi, Feleciai,

I don't know anyone local, but I remembered blue moon (in socal) has a small EO collection.  Her glass candles are apricot wax, which I thought was kind of cool...not exactly soy wax, but in that natural vein.

Otherwise, I'm stumped.  Posting on indie beauty network would be my next thought if you don't get any suggestions out of us. :D

Hi Feleciai,
A former student of mine makes soy candles. She is in the Sacramento
area. Her name is Usa Pratanasup and her company is Pure Palette.

Good luck!

hi feleciai & friends,

great to see you all last week at the last minute meeting!

regarding feleciai’s search for a candle maker… i have a few past nova studio students listed here on my links & suppliers page who are candle makers:

http://thenovastudio.com/links.htm - scroll down until you see product makers and then check out their pages to see who does candles.

i also know Usa who ruth recommended, she’s a long time nova studio student.

and Apricot Wax sold by Blue Moon that JEN recommended… that’s crazy cool. I’ve never heard of that, ever!

and if none of those work out, putting the word out on indie beauty is a great idea (from Jen).

have a great weekend ladies!

lori J
