Dr. Susan Wu on Press for Democracy

Looking for that perfect holiday gift for a fellow health care professional?  Why not give a copy of CaPA Board Member Dr. Susan Wu's appearance on local television?

 

In a segment called Healthcare in the Balance, Dr. Wu and Janice Markham, host of Press for Democracy, discuss healthcare in the United States in the lead-up to the 2008 presidential election.  Issues covered include the healthcare plans of various presidential candidates, the influence of insurance companies in the electoral process, and the benefits of a single-payer healthcare system.  The show also includes clips of California State Senator Sheila Kuehl exposing the agendas of health insurance companies, as well as an excerpt from Ms. Markham's interview with Representative Dennis Kucinich.  In addition to being a CaPA Board Member, Dr. Wu is a pediatrician at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Southern California.

 

Copies of the show are being made specially available to CaPA members for just a $10 tax-deductible donation to Press for Democracy.  Proceeds will cover the cost of shipping to you, and fund shipment of an additional copy to a public access station for airing.  With one small donation, you'll be doubly helping to get the word out.

Speakers Training on SB 840, The Universal Health Care Act

Participants will be sent a packet with speeches, plus questions and answers on SB 840.  At the training, participants will have the opportunity to practice a speech, receive feedback, and practice answering questions. 

Sliding scale fee (includes materials):

 

    $25 Regular Enrollment

    $10 Residents

    Students FREE
